MERLIN’S MAGIC AT TINTAGEL
We arrived at the Camelot Castle Hotel in the evening, after a 7 hour drive from London. So – NOT to schedule.

A Victorian Folly of Curious Proportions
and had just enough time before drinks with John and Irena Mappin and Ted Stourton to take a brisk walk to the headland. › Continue reading
SMOKE SIGNALS

You would swear it was water...
Just had a fun afternoon with Ollie making smoke signals in the studio. No right or wrong answers just a singed smell of battle and these images. › Continue reading
CROMARTY 9 Weeks
This is a lesson in how everything changes and something of a clock for me. Was it really two weeks ago…. Anyway here is a bigger boy although feeling somewhat shaky after his booster today.

Never trust a man with a lens
MOTHERSHIP
I was asked by my friend – the fabulous Lisa Kwei to come and shoot her band at the ACM Guildford Electric Theatre for their finals. I was granted a ‘test shoot’ by the Academy to shoot the band and here are some of the images – reproduced with kind permission of Lisa Kwei and Mothership.

I appreciate the kindness of the Academy for Contemporary Music for letting me shoot the band. Any future work with them will by subject to their copyright and not available here.
NOT A TOY
I never get much chance these days – not a whinge! – to shoot things that do fascinate me. I am talking about the not every day stuff like snakes, bugs and animals. I am reminded of this by a Tarantula that I shot (sic) yesterday at a school I am working with. I can show you this because the EC has yet to establish model release rights for spiders.

The joy I did not feel! But RESPECT - Oh yeah!
This big hairy ginger girl was a superb shooting challenge in just simple terms – get all the legs in, get the eyes in focus – they are the shiny glittering black lump like a cupola in the centre of a very frightening tank. › Continue reading
FRAN’S AWA’
My mate Fran Cacace and family are moving to New Zealand this weekend. He is to become a kept man whilst his wife toils and his children turn into Kiwi’s.

Fran and a Kangaroo
Contains Nudity but only Classic Art
It is only fair to point out that even though it would be verging on the perverse to find these images titillating, if you have an aversion or prohibition, for any reason, concerning the viewing of artistically naked female bodies, then this post is not for you. Before you ask… we have no problem with our children seeing them.

I often drifted back towards the portrait where i know I make sense
I have been interested for many years in addressing some form ideas I have had for taking images of the naked female form. It was inspired by images I fell in love with 30 years ago by Edward Western of Sweet Peppers. The smooth contours and non-geometric shapes that contrast with everything that we humans bring to the world. › Continue reading
WOW
Wow is really how I feel. We posted the new site this afternoon after some pretty intense days and nights of writing, sizing and coding. I did not do the coding. It was the brilliant guys at Evosite who deisgned and built the site. Unless you have a shoot you only see the top of this iceberg. It is when you go inside to order that the details really shows.
So, unable to contain my excitement › Continue reading
