CROMARTY 13 WEEKS

Keep Alert for the unknown

Keep Alert for the unknown

It has been a busy few weeks for Cromarty. he has learned to commute, to wait, to walk on a lead, to guard a house, to greet strangers and ward off unwelcome ones, he has learned to paddle, almost to swim, the taste of seaweed and the pleasure of hurling it across the beach. he has found out that he is not a Great Dane but has a bigger heart and brain. He has met with vets, hotelliers, gardeners, babies, traffic and dogs. He has paraded down Padstow high street (it took an hour including all the adoration), and scampered across the cliff tops at Tintagel. He has enjoyed dog food, dog vomit, bird shit and rabbit droppings. He has met with wild horses and dined at the White Hart. All in all a satisfactory holiday for a 13 week old dog. › Continue reading

NOT A TOY

I never get much chance these days – not a whinge! – to shoot things that do fascinate me. I am talking about the not every day stuff like snakes, bugs and animals. I am reminded of this by a Tarantula that I shot (sic) yesterday at a school I am working with. I can show you this because the EC has yet to establish model release rights for spiders.

The joy I did not feel! But RESPECT - Oh yeah!

This big hairy ginger girl was a superb shooting challenge in just simple terms – get all the legs in, get the eyes in focus – they are the shiny glittering black lump like a cupola in the centre of a very frightening tank. › Continue reading
